An understanding of foreign cultures thrives at Johnson County Community College, which boasts rich diversity and a strong global perspective. That’s because the world gets a little smaller each semester when more than 1,300 immigrant and non-immigrant students interact and engage with the thousands of other JCCC students in ways that create learning opportunities for all.
International and Immigrant Student Services (IISS) serves JCCC students from around the globe with admission assistance and federal regulations advisement. In return, these students enrich our campus community because they share world cultures and experiences.
Students, faculty and the community all benefit from shared cultures. New friendships are established that last a lifetime. Lives are changed because of this opportunity in the United States takes learning to new levels. Additionally, communities that host international students benefit from ties established between countries.
As you know, a college education is expensive. It’s especially expensive for international students who travel thousands of miles to study at JCCC, who pay the highest tuition levels and who are limited in the number of part-time hours they can work while in the United States. Please join others who generously support our international students. Your donations are used to provide scholarships and programming support for these college students which ultimately promotes peace through people-to-people interactions.
